Specialist Offers Tips For Chronic Sinus Problems(Sinus Pressure Relief)

A national sinus specialist says getting rid of chronic sinus problems could be as simple as cleaning up your space.

Experts say as many as 37 million Americans experience at least one bout of sinusitis every year.

Dr. Jordan Josephson, a sinus specialist, says on-going sinus problems aggravate other conditions.

"If you're congested and you're not breathing right, that's not normal." says Dr. Josephson. " sinus problems can be connected to asthma, snoring, sleep apnea, gastroesophageal reflux, which is gerd, and allergies."

He say to alleviate ongoing sinus problems start by cleaning up your breathing environment, controlling nasal aggravators like dust and mold and also, pay attention to what you eat.

Officials say the congestion creates an environment that bacteria and viruses thrive in. Dr. Josephson also recommends an age-old treatment to clean the sinuses, nasal irrigation.

"Washing your sinuses out just makes you feel refreshed and gets your allergies out of your nose, gets dust particles and dirt particles out of your nose, and gets infection out of your nose," he says.

Dr. Josephson's book, ' Sinus Relief Now,' emphasizes patient-doctor teamwork to help determine triggers, like dust, mold, and foods, that can aggravate the sinuses.
